In 1998 Angel Eye was commissioned by Channel 4 Television to produce a six-part documentary series called Edinburgh or Bust, following six comedy acts in their bid for stardom at the Edinburgh Festival.
In 1999 Angel Eye formed Edinburgh based, Angel Eye Scotland. A second and third series of Edinburgh or Bust were commissioned in 1999 and 2000 and the fourth series was broadcast in August 2001.
In June 1999 Angel Eye moved into drama to make a half-hour pilot sitcom for Channel Four broadcast as part of the Comedy Lab series. Called Roy Dance is Dead, it was written by and starred the three-man sketch group Electric Eel. Re-titled The Estate Agents, a six-part sitcom series was transmitted on Channel Four in March 2002, after which it was nominated for The Golden Rose of Montreux.
In September 1999 the company produced a 50-minute entertainment programme for Channel Four, Stand up Perrier, televising the Perrier award winners' performances at Her Majesty's Theatre in London, with a second programme produced in 2000.
In addition, Channel Four Features Department commissioned a fashion programme Fashion Cuts, featuring Agent Provocateur and Sadie Frost, broadcast in May 2000.
In 2002 Angel Eye produced The Last Chancers and Pam Ann's Mile High Club for Channel Four along with BBC4's Will Durst Live for its prestigious Performance slot.
Angel Eye's film department has also co-produced its first feature film, Beginner's Luck, starring Hollywood actress Julie Delpy, Steven Berkoff and James Callis (Bridget Jones' Diary), which premiered at The London Film Festival. Further films are currently in development.
